Solar Eclipse in Scorpio: What Do You Want To Release?
Today is the new moon and solar eclipse in Scorpio. Scorpio loves deep dives and intensity so let’s jump in, shall we?
What do you want to release?
What limiting beliefs have you carried with you that no longer serve you?
The energy of the eclipse can help you let that shit go!
I’m releasing disempowering beliefs I inherited, like:
My body doesn’t belong to me
My body is off limits to myself
Self pleasure is a sin
The only way to feel worthy is through external validation, in particular, men
It’s my responsibility to make other people comfortable, even at the risk of my discomfort or personal safety
Thanks, but no thanks. These disempowering beliefs were infused from an early age. I grew up in an ultra conservative religion and was given strict mandates for how to be with my body.
What was meant to keep me safe became a distorted lens of sexuality and sovereigty.
In her book Come As You Are, Emily Nagoski talks about sexuality like a garden. Our communities, families, cultures and religions plant beliefs and values in our gardens before we are old enough to recognize them.
As adults, we get to evaluate what is growing in our personal gardens.
Is it healthy? Is it supportive? Keep it.
Is it tearing you down? Then consider a permanent removal of this belief system.
My repressed upbringing is the very reason that I became an embodiment and sex coach: to regain my sexual sovereigty.
Releasing limiting beliefs is anything but a passive act. You may find yourself working to uproot the same beliefs over and over — especially if their roots run deep. You may say, “This again? I thought I let this go!” It’s all progress. This time there will be less to clear.
What’s growing in your garden that no longer serves you? What are you letting go?
May your garden be wild and lush and verdant.
May the intensity of the Scorpio solar eclipse support you to let that shit go.
May you be supported on your way.
