This is a great read. So many penis wielders are insecure about their size, even if it’s much larger than average. Everyone needs to understand this stuff
This certainly is something that can be cultivated, E2! Thanks for chiming in.
Actually though — Kegel exercises may not always be the answer. Pelvic floors can have different types of dysfunction: they may be tight, or loose. If someone has a tight pelvic floor, kegels actually become part of the part of the problem, not part of the solution. Since every body is different, it’s recommended to visit a pelvic floor specialist, since many vulva owners actually have tight pelvic floors that need to learn to relax.
If you're talking about a man's libido – arousal, stamina and ability to be monogamous – testicle size is the determining factor. Check out the book Sperm Wars.
Great essay, Sarah! Too big is no fun, neither is too small. I have been lucky in my life, having 2 long term partners with "just right" penises (peni?). My current partner is one of them.
Thank you, Janine for the kudos! I'm glad that you found that sweet spot with your partner! It's like goldilocks -- except finding the right penis for you!
Lol, that's funny, had never thought about penises as peni before. I had a similar thing happen recently with cervixes (cervi??). Turns out cervixes is correct, but cervi sounds sophisticated!
As an author I have always been amused by the male boast of being, "hung like a horse."So that's 26 inches in length, and five and a half inches in girth?"
I was worried at first about writing about such intimacy, but on checking the Amazon KDP guidelines, such is aloud between mythical creatures and humans. I also use the, "Harkness test," for such consensual acts.🤗
I was so surprised how often cis women don't know about their own anatomy when I discussed my upcoming SRS with them and how it's pretty cool that we basically have the same base parts just in different configurations.
I learned some interesting facts from my surgeons, too: Like how the human body heals faster in that area than elsewhere and that when they place tissue in it's homologous position it somehow takes root (as in connects nerves and blood vessels) in a surprising way and they don't know why it works. It's all pretty miraculous.
Hannah, thank you for adding your voice to the mix! It's surprising, isn't it? Our sex education is so fraught with fear and avoidance that it takes real effort to bridge the gap to learn about our anatomy. Yes! We have the same parts, just organized differently. It's really awe-inspiring.
How fascinating about how the body heals faster in the genital area! Thank you for teaching me about that. This seems consistent with the understanding of how the second chakra area is our creative center. How miraculous indeed.
I hope that everything goes smoothly with your upcoming SRS surgery. Wishing you a seamless recovery.
Since there are billions of people on the planet, it's impossible for me to answer this question for womenkind. You ask anyone, you'll hear a different answer. Ultimately though, it's not what you have but how you use it.
The fact of the matter is that the majority of women don't orgasm from penetration alone. We don't learn in sex-ed how to be good lovers. Many people don't learn about their own anatomy, much less their partners. There is a large delta and I am a proponent for people getting accurate sex education in order to be better lovers.
Size generally isn't something we can change. But we can get educated.

It's an honor to have you here, Brotha Salacious, grateful for your kind words. The term penis wielders is terrific, thank you for bringing this here.
Of course! And thank you. Keep doing what you’re doing ✊🏾
"Let the record show: A desirable vagina is one that can tense and release as needed for optimal sensation and control."
And this is something women can develop! Two words: Kegel exercises. No current partner required, and there are health benefits beyond the sexual.
This certainly is something that can be cultivated, E2! Thanks for chiming in.

Excellent article! On thing...

Thanks, Robert, for the kind words and the tip! Sounds like an interesting read.
It’s fantastic. Porn followed by evolutionary biology.
What an interesting piece! I’m glad you’re writing this.

Lol! There are certain words that seem like they need a different plural form. I like peni. I think cervi should become a thing!
im sorry, im the number 70 like, i ruined it 🙄
Don't worry. The tight ones hurt. I'm sure most women's vagina is normal.
As an author I have always been amused by the male boast of being, "hung like a horse."So that's 26 inches in length, and five and a half inches in girth?"
My character can relate, as he's a centaur.😉
Truly, Graham! Good luck finding a human woman as a lover at that point. Although that in itself would be something to chronicle!
That sounds like fun! 🤩
Or even, allowed.😉

the breakdown of the similarities between the weiner and the taco was super insightful! enjoyed reading
So glad you found it insightful, r.j.! I smiled when you said weiner and taco.
